• Prepares students for APCSA Course.
• Most students will choose APCSP or CSP as their second pathway course.
• Most students will not take both CSP and APCSP courses. See Academic Advisor.
• Both APCSP and CSP end with students ready to take level 3 APCSA. 
• This course moves at a moderate pace. Students will write code with a pencil and paper, verbalize their thought processes using typed and/or hand-written words, type code into a computer terminal, debug code from various sources, collaborate with their peers, and use problem solving skills and use logic to solve problems

• This course is 100% Java. 
• Advanced Placement Test on Java, and 
• End of Pathway Exam covering Java, CSP, and IDT.
• Industry certification exams are possible.
• APCSA Picks up where APCSP ends. 
• To enroll in this course, students should have have scored a 4 or 5 on any AP exam, and earned a B or higher in CSP using Java, or scored a 3 or higher on the APCSP exam, or have previous hand-coding experience, or equivalent.
• This course is at a fast pace.
