STEM ChallengesSTEM Challenges are special projects done during 45 minute to 2 hour sessions.
This is an iterative engineering design process resulting in prototypes or models. Students are presented a real world problem, asked to determine the question that needs solving, sketch or draw ideas, if possible work collaboratively to come up with the best idea of the team, build the idea (or a model), test the prototype, then think of solutions. We try to allow students to build at least one improved build iteration of their prototype. |
