Model Making Resources - For Learning and Fun

Why "Model Making" on a teacher's website?

In school, models are used to show concepts. When teachers ask students to "make a model" we often do not actually teach, show, or help students make models. There are entire industries of professional model makers: film, museum curators, set designers for many industries, historical reanactors, television, animators, toy makers, advertising, product development, engineering, historical reanactors, teachers, diorama makers, puzzle makers, architechts, professors, attorneys and court systems, and government.  There are also a lot of enthusiasts - which means people who make models for the fun of making models.
